Job summary

Gloucestershire College is seeking a Learning Support Worker across its Gloucester, Cinderford, Cheltenham and Hardwick campuses. You will support learners under the Inclusion Team, help them progress with confidence, keep accurate records, and use ProMonitor to share information with staff and families.

You’ll use learners’ EHCPs and profiles to guide practice, encourage independence, explore effective learning strategies, and participate in team meetings, safeguarding and college events.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting SEND learners, ideally in a specialist or post-16 setting.
• GCSE Maths and English at grade C/Level 2, or willingness to work towards them.
• Practical safeguarding experience in an education or support environment.

Responsibilities

• Support learners under the guidance of the Inclusion Team and help them progress.
• Keep accurate records and use ProMonitor to share information with staff and families.
• Help learners settle into college through transition activities and guide practice with EHCPs and learner profiles.
• Encourage independence, explore effective learning strategies and participate in team meetings and events.
• Follow SEND guidance, safeguarding expectations and college standards to ensure high quality support.
