The King Alfred School in Highbridge, Somerset is seeking a dedicated Pastoral Support Officer to back pastoral leads and Heads of Year. You will be a visible contact across the school, supporting student behaviour, attendance and wellbeing during the school day.

The role requires caring, organised individuals with Maths and English basics, strong IT skills, and excellent communication. You will maintain confidential records, assist interventions and liaise with parents and safeguarding

Qualifikationen

• Strong IT proficiency with databases and common software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with attention to detail.
• Experience with safeguarding and working in an educational setting.

Aufgaben

• Review and respond to student-centred concerns throughout the day, gathering incident evidence and providing tailored support.
• Maintain a visible pastoral presence and assist in rotas to support positive classroom environments.
• Communicate with parents, carers and external agencies to support student wellbeing and liaise with attendance and safeguarding teams.
• Keep confidential records, attend intervention meetings and support pastoral process improvements.
