TeacherActive is recruiting a Pastoral Support Officer for a mainstream secondary school in Brynmawr. The role is long-term temporary with an immediate start, focusing on managing challenging behaviour and providing pastoral support to pupils to boost wellbeing and learning.

Ideal candidates will have school experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to liaise with staff and other professionals to promote a positive, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a school or educational setting.
• Experience managing challenging behaviour and supporting pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs.
• Confidence liaising with teachers, support staff and other professionals.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

Responsabilités

• Manage challenging behaviour and support pupils with SEMH needs.
• Promote positive relationships and a supportive learning environment.
• Collaborate with teaching and support staff to implement pastoral programs.
• Provide consistent, patient and responsive pastoral support to students.
