Job summary

Lancashire County Council is seeking a committed and flexible individual to join Shuttleworth College as a Student Support Worker. You will deliver small group interventions, provide one-to-one support for students with Education Health Care Plans, and build positive relationships with students and staff to help everyone access a broad and balanced curriculum.

The role requires DBS enhanced clearance, and the post is term-time only with 37 hours per week, 8-4pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• GCSE English, Maths and Science at grade C or above.
• Degree level qualification or working toward.
• Experience of working with children in classroom or similar environment.
• Experience of supporting pupils with challenging behaviour.

Responsibilities

• Deliver small group interventions to help students reach their potential.
• Offer one-to-one support for students with Education Health Care Plans.
• Support students of all abilities across a wide range of subjects.
