Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a full-time student support officer to work at an excellent school in Hull, starting ASAP (school training day), and lasting until at least Christmas 2026, with the potential for this to extend longer in the future.

This is a temporary role based on sickness, with working hours from 8:30 to 15:30; part-time options are not considered initially. Pay is 100–210 per day depending on experience in similar roles.

Qualifications

• Experience as a student support officer or learning support assistant
• Experience working in UK schools
• Enhanced DBS disclosure and appropriate police clearances and references
• CV must cover full CV history
• Legal right to work in the UK

Responsibilities

• Provide care to students during school and coordinate with senior pastoral staff to ensure care provision
• Build strong relationships with students and with parents/carers
• Supervise students at breaks and lunch times
• Move around the school to support pupils and manage supervision
