Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a full-time Student Support Officer in Hull to support students during school hours from ASAP until at least Christmas 2026, with possible extension. The role runs 8:30–15:30 and involves significant movement around the school and strong engagement with students and parents/carers.

A sickness-related temporary post, with CPD and career development support from Tradewind. Requirements include prior experience as a student support officer or learning support

Qualifications

• Experience as student support officer or learning support assistant.
• Experience working within schools in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS Disclosure and appropriate clearances.
• CV must cover the full CV history and legal right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with students to support their success inside and outside school.
• Provide care to students during school hours and feed into senior pastoral leadership.
• Support care provision with head of years and assistant head of years.
• Supervise students at breaks and lunchtimes, moving around the school to cover areas.
