Job summary

Morgan Hunt is assisting a college in Walsall to recruit a Student Success Officer on a full-time temporary basis until Christmas. You'll provide one-to-one support, monitor attendance, deliver workshops and guide students towards progression routes including university, apprenticeships and employment.

This role requires experience supporting young people, safeguarding knowledge, and strong communication and organisational skills.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting and motivating young people.
• Understanding safeguarding and PREVENT.
• Knowledge of post-16 education and progression pathways.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships and inspire confidence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one student support sessions.
• Monitor attendance and engagement, address concerns proactively.
• Deliver workshops on wellbeing, progression, and safeguarding topics.
• Support students with UCAS applications, interviews and employability skills.
• Collaborate with tutors and safeguarding teams to support student success.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to a positive college environment.

The Role

As a Student Success Officer, you'll provide one-to-one support, monitor attendance and engagement, deliver workshops, and guide students towards positive progression routes including university, apprenticeships, and employment.

Key Duties

• Deliver one-to-one student support sessions.
• Monitor attendance and engagement, addressing concerns proactively.
• Facilitate workshops on topics including PREVENT, British Values, wellbeing, resilience, and progression.
• Support students with UCAS applications, interviews, and employability skills.
• Work closely with tutors and safeguarding teams to support student success.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to a positive college environment.

About You

• Experience supporting and motivating young people.

Essential Qualifications

• Relevant Level 3 qualification in Teaching, Training, or Learner Support.
• GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above) or equivalent.
