Dovetail & Slate Ltd seeks a learner-facing supporter for a further education provider in the West Midlands, helping students engage with their studies and progress through programmes. You will work alongside teaching staff to deliver practical day-to-day support and ensure learners stay on track.

Role involves delivering English, maths and Functional Skills, supporting individuals and small groups, and maintaining progress records. DBS within 12 months and two references are required.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills in education settings.
• DBS check current within 12 months and two recent references.

About the Role

You'll join a further education provider in a learner-facing support role, helping students engage with their studies, overcome barriers and progress through their programmes. Working alongside teaching staff, you'll deliver practical day-to-day support that keeps learners on track.

The role involves delivery of English, maths and Functional Skills alongside wider learner support, so you'll be comfortable working with students both one-to-one and in small groups.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the delivery of English, maths and Functional Skills to learners.
• Working with students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
• Helping learners engage with their programme and progress towards their goals.
• Working closely with teaching staff to put the right support in place.
• Maintaining accurate records of learner support and progress.

What We're Looking For

• Experience of delivering English, maths and Functional Skills
• Experience of supporting young people or adults in an education setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• An Enhanced DBS issued within the last 12 months
• Two references from your most recent employers
