The Blackpool Sixth Form College is seeking a proactive Safeguarding and Attendance Officer to support student welfare across the campus. You will work within the Student Services team to boost attendance, provide timely interventions, and help create a safe, welcoming, high-achieving environment for all learners.

The role requires empathy and strong organisational skills, with an emphasis on safeguarding, attendance improvement, and close collaboration with families and staff.

Competenze

• Experience in safeguarding or attendance support is desirable.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Commitment to student welfare and confidentiality.

Mansioni

• Spot early attendance patterns and intervene before issues escalate.
• Design personalised improvement plans to help students get back on track.
• Manage safeguarding referrals and ensure student welfare stays front and centre.
• Collaborate with families, staff and external experts for student support.
• Support transition from high school to college and promote good habits.
• Maintain professional conduct and diffuse tense situations.
• Keep accurate student records and assist on Reception as needed.
• Engage in open days, enrolment events and induction activities.
