Job summary

Windmills Junior School is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work in the classroom and supervise midday meals. You will support learning for pupils needing extra help, run small groups, and assist with first aid and medicine administration during the day.

The role is term-time only with a pattern of 8:45–3:15, five days a week. Interview date is Tuesday 22nd September 2026, and the salary is £24,796 FTE.

Qualifications

• Good literacy and numeracy skills at GCSE level or higher.
• Experience with primary school children is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to support learning and run small group activities as directed by the teacher.

Responsibilities

• Support learning in the classroom and in small groups.
• Assist with mid-day meals supervision and lunch-time activities.
• Provide first aid and administer medicines as required.
• Maintain confidentiality and work as part of the school team.
