Job summary

Luddendenfoot Academy is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join our supportive team during a maternity period. You will assist in delivering adapted lessons and supporting pupils to reach their potential. You will work with teachers and SEN staff to provide targeted interventions, small-group and classroom support, and maintain a calm, safe environment during lunch periods.

Experience with EYFS is essential. Term-time only, 19.5 hours weekly (Wed–Fri, 08:30–15:30).

Qualifications

Pastoral experience of working with children.
Knowledge of EYFS is required.
Excellent literacy and numeracy competency.
The ability to motivate and inspire students.
The ability to work with and contribute to your team.
The ability to build good working relationships.
The ability to promote positive behaviour.

Responsibilities

Deliver programmes of support, including interventions for identified pupils working in collaboration with leaders, teachers and other support and SEN staff.
Support the delivery of the curriculum to small groups or whole classes of pupils to access their learning through the distribution and delivery of learning resources.
Provide a visible, high-profile presence in the school at all times, particularly during lunch periods to support a calm and orderly environment and pupil safety.
