Job summary

Morley College London is seeking a proactive Learning Support Assistant to support learners with a range of additional learning needs and work with staff to develop strategies that promote participation and progression. You will help learners build confidence, independence and time-management skills, monitoring progress and maintaining accurate records.

The role requires Level 3 or equivalent, safeguarding awareness and ability to work collaboratively across the College.

Qualifications

• Educated to Level 3 or equivalent.
• Experience of working face-to-face with students in a busy environment.
• Strong IT skills and ability to maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group support to learners.
• Agree and monitor support plans with learners.
• Work with teaching staff to develop strategies to promote participation, achievement and progression.
• Encourage attendance and follow up non-attendance promptly.
• Escalate safeguarding or welfare concerns as appropriate.
