Job summary

Morley College London is seeking a supportive Learning Support Assistant to help learners with additional learning needs achieve their educational goals. You will work with Additional Learning Support and curriculum colleagues to develop strategies that promote participation and progression.

You will help learners build confidence, independence, social and time-management skills, monitor progress, and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

• Level 3 or equivalent qualification is required.
• Experience working face-to-face with students in a busy education setting is essential.
• Strong IT skills and the ability to maintain accurate records are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group support inside and outside the classroom.
• Develop and implement support plans with learners to promote participation and progression.
• Monitor learner progress and communicate with staff and carers as appropriate.
• Escalate safeguarding or welfare concerns in line with college policies.
