Working closely with Additional Learning Support and curriculum colleagues, you will provide individual and group support both inside and outside the classroom. You will agree appropriate support plans with learners, monitor their progress and work with teaching staff to develop strategies that promote participation, achievement and progression. You will help learners develop their confidence, independence, social skills, organisation and time-management skills. You will also encourage attendance, follow up non-attendance promptly and provide appropriate guidance to support learners in returning to their studies. You will also remain alert to any safeguarding or welfare concerns and ensure these are escalated in line with College policies and procedures.
