Job summary

Loughborough College Group is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Brooksby and Stephenson. This part‑time, permanent role provides support to students with identified learning difficulties across 36 weeks per year, 08:30–16:30, across courses from Entry to Level 3 / A Level.

Notetaking, personal care and mobility support are included to aid independence. Applicants should have a Level 2 qualification (GCSE 4+ in Maths and English) and safeguarding knowledge.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people.
• Sound knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
• GCSE Maths and English (grade 4+) or equivalent.
• Flexible and team‑oriented.
• Excellent communication with students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Support students in a sensitive, professional, discrete and confidential manner.
• Encourage personal and academic independence and self-empowerment wherever possible.
• Contribute to development of individual learning programmes with tutors and coordinators.
• Ensure students receive appropriate level of support and report issues to coordinators.
