Job summary

UCS College Group based in Taunton is seeking a Student Experience & Safeguarding Officer to coordinate wellbeing and safeguarding support for students across the college.

You will triage referrals, provide one-to-one and group mentoring, and signpost students to internal services or external agencies, helping create a safe, inclusive environment while maintaining composure under pressure.

Qualifications

• Experience in safeguarding and student welfare.
• Ability to triage referrals and work with safeguarding teams.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Triaging referrals to ensure timely and appropriate support.
• Maintain a calm, effective approach under pressure.
• Provide one-to-one and group guidance and mentoring.
• Signpost students to internal services or external agencies.
• Coordinate wellbeing and safeguarding support across the college group.
