Job summary

The University of Sheffield invites applications for the role of Student Experience Manager in the School of English. You will oversee a team delivering an inclusive learning experience, supporting students from induction to graduation, and driving student voice initiatives.

Collaborating with School leadership, you will align activities with university policy while ensuring compliant, high-quality student support and engagement across the school.

Qualifications

• Educated to A Level standard with GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
• Experience in a professional/managerial role, ideally in Higher Education.
• Effective written and verbal communication with colleagues at all levels.
• High IT literacy with Microsoft Office and Google applications.
• Experience leading and motivating a team to deliver high-quality service.
• Experience in process and policy design and improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the School of English Student Experience team and coordinate with Education leadership.
• Oversee student voice activities and related processes (NSS, TellUs).
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and safeguarding responsibilities.
• Manage attendance, complaints, and student progression support.
• Develop inclusive processes and participate in relevant committees.
