Job summary

Qualifications

• Educated to A Level standard with GCSE Maths and English.
• Experience in a professional/managerial role, ideally within Higher Education.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal and the ability to negotiate with colleagues at all levels.
• High IT literacy; proficient in Microsoft Office and Google applications and able to learn new software quickly.
• Experience leading, reviewing, managing and motivating a team to deliver high quality service.
• Experience of process and policy design and improvement.
• Self-motivated, autonomous with good judgement on when to refer complex issues.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of the School’s strategic Action Plan related to Student Experience.
• Lead the Education and Student Experience team and ensure adequate coverage.
• Oversee student voice activities and related processes (NSS, TellUs, committees).
• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements at School level.
• Oversee attendance, complaints and student progression processes.
• Develop inclusive processes supporting Equality legislation and learning support.
• Lead for Fitness to Practice where required.
• Coordinate student events, welcome and induction materials aligned with the University framework.
