University of Exeter is seeking a part-time Student Employment Support Officer to deliver the Access to Internships initiative. You will administer the service, guide students through the application process, and work with employers and staff to set up internships and administer funding.
The role requires excellent attention to detail, strong Excel skills, and experience handling complex administrative processes in a higher education context.

The Student Employability and Academic Success Team have a part-time, fixed-term opportunity for a highly organised individual looking to gain quality administrative and project management experience. You will work with a range of stakeholders including students and employers to provide an exceptional service while meeting the core aims of the university's Success for All initiative. You will need to be confident using Excel and communicating with others to provide essential updates. In return, you will gain experience working with budgets, bespoke software, databases, and a range of people working on an initiative that aims to improve employability outcomes for underrepresented groups of students.
You will play a key part in the successful delivery of the 'Access to Internships' (A2i) funding arm of the Internships team. This will involve administration of the service, guiding students through the application process, checking that applications fully meet eligibility criteria and working with employers and internal staff to set up internships and administer funding. You will build effective relationships with stakeholders which support and contribute to the delivery of the service, including employers, students, graduates, and funding bodies. You will need to have an excellent level of attention to detail to process finance requests using the University's finance system and maintain records using Excel.
