Job description

Are you a Junior Structural CAD Technician, early in your career, seeking an opportunity that offers significant career progression through experience and qualifications? If so, a perfect opportunity has arisen with my client, a Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy based in South Birmingham.

This role provides unique opportunities for professional growth as a Structural Engineering Technician. Ideally, with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in AutoCAD within the structural field, you will be capable of producing structural drawing packages, including layouts, sections, elevations, and detailed drawings. You will receive mentorship to help hone and advance your skills and expertise in structural engineering and design.

Qualifications / Experience

• Ideally possess an HNC / HND in a relevant qualification (CAD, Civil Engineering, etc.) or be enrolled in an HNC / HND or equivalent course, with my client able to assist with day release. If you have relevant structural CAD experience but lack qualification, you will be encouraged to complete your HNC with sponsorship via the client and benefit from day release to support your career start.
• Minimum of 1-2 years experience in structural work and AutoCAD; residential project experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Good communication skills
• Good presentation skills, with pride in delivering professional work
• Ability to work well within a team
