Qualifications

• Experience with residential projects (housing, apartments, mid-rise).
• Good understanding of structural engineering principles.
• Strong communication skills to attend team meetings and site reviews.

Responsibilities

• Undertake structural drawings and details including RC Detailing.
• Review and implement site investigation reports and guidelines.
• Attend Design team Meetings and site reviews as needed.

Job description

A new Structural Technician opportunity has arisen with myClient in Birmingham.There has never been a more exciting time to join my Client's company,with the development of a new Team and Department of skilled and highly experienced engineering professionals already in place and expanding! Offering centrally located offices, hybrid working arrangements and a healthy pipeline of work and projects to be involved in as a Structural Technician.

MyClient is on the lookout for a talented Structural Technician to work on a range of projects across the broad residential sector (housing, apartments, mid-rise, retirement) as well as other design schemes set across the Structural Engineering sector.

Skills

• Knowledge of concrete, steel and load-bearing masonry and timber structures
• Ability to review and implement site investigation reports, NHBC guidelines, Building Regulations, LABC and BRE etc.
• Attend Design team Meetings
• Attend site to review issues if and when required
• Undertaking of structural drawings and details including RC Detailing

Software:

• AutoCAD
• CADS RC
• Revit - Not essential to success int he role but beneficial
