Job summary

Novax Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Estimating Manager for a London-based structural steel contractor. The role leads the estimating function, shapes tenders, and ensures commercial viability across materials, fabrication, labour and erection.

You will review drawings, pricing data and tender information, challenge estimates, and develop strong relationships with clients and suppliers. Remote work can be considered for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Experience leading structural steel estimating functions.
• Ability to review drawings, specs and tender docs to identify scope and risk.
• Proven track record pricing across materials, fabrication, labour and erection.
• Strong commercial awareness including margins and project viability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the estimating function from enquiry to submission.
• Review drawings, specifications and tender information to identify scope, risk and opportunities.
• Oversee accurate pricing across materials, fabrication, labour, transport and erection.
• Challenge estimates to ensure commercial viability before submission.
• Develop relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors to strengthen tenders.
• Work with senior management on bids, handovers and commercial strategy.
