Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Structural Project Engineer in Derbyshire to lead analysis and design for mechanical structures within energy and renewables. You will work with the structural design team, prepare concepts, calculations and drawings, and engage with customers in the UK and overseas.

The role offers a salary of £40k–£55k DOE, profit share and performance-related bonus, plus private healthcare.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in a mechanical design role.
• Experience in structural analysis using Autodesk Robot or a similar analysis package.
• Familiar with ASCE and Eurocodes.
• Good understanding of fabricated structures/components and manufacturing techniques.
• Pressure Vessel Design experience and familiarity with relevant international codes/standards.
• Design experience in air handling/filtration systems, heat exchangers, and acoustical calculations.
• Ability to interpret/create piping and instrumentation diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Preparing concept design drawings, and calculations.
• Responsible for Technical Calculations, Simulations and Analysis such as: Beam Load, Foundations, Structural, Stress, bending moments and Materials.
• Attending customer meetings in the UK and overseas.
• Interpreting and working from customer requirements, specifications and drawings.
• Perform detailed engineering calculations using both software or hand calculations – These include: Structural, fluid dynamic, finite element analysis, and general mechanics.
• Support project management, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams.
• Assist in producing user manuals/instructions.
• Conduct site surveys, condition assessments, and produce technical reports and recommendations.
• Provide technical support to internal and external customers.
• Research and development to maintain market leadership.
