Structural Engineer - Derby - Hybrid Working Arrangements
£30,000 - £44,000

Excellent opportunity for aStructural Engineer to join a very well established, highly regarded,multi-disciplined, Engineering Consultancy in Derby. As a Structural Engineer you will join very talented Teamof professionals who between them possess vast technical expertise of the structures industry. You will be presented with a great variation of projects and all the support and structured progression you require to progress forward with your career as a StructuralEngineer.

At present the department are involved in a solid range of projects which include but is not restricted to:

• Mid-rise residential apartments, flats and student accommodation
• Multi-storey central commercial and residential schemes
• Industrial Logistical Parks and distribution facilities - portal frames structures
• More unique and bespoke "industrial" based projects
• Motor Show Rooms, workshops and facilities

Duties

• Undertaking design work, inspections and construction site support on major infrastructure projects.
• Concept and Feasibility studies for multi discipline design projects.
• Analysis and Design using engineering software such as Tekla, IDEA StatiCA and TEDDS as well as producing hand calculations.
• Preparation of Calculations, CDM activities, Basis of Design, and Material Specifications.
• Supporting Senior Structural Engineers.

About You

My Client seeks aStructural Engineer who is ideally at Project Engineer leveland who possesses the following skills and expertise:

• Good all-round technical design expertise using British and international standards, and/or Eurocodes
• Degree qualified (BEng or MEng) in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Proven ability in preparation of Design and Calculation documentation
• Experience in the design of structures in reinforced concrete and steelwork
• Knowledge and use of BIM packages
