Hunter Selection is recruiting a Structural Design Engineer in Worcester to join an innovative manufacturer delivering renewable energy solutions. You will design robust structural components and systems from concept through to manufacture, contributing to new product development and supporting projects across the lifecycle.

The role involves FE A stress testing, creating BOMs, and collaborating with sales to prepare timely quotations.

Qualifications

• Experience with Solidworks or Inventor and AutoCAD 2D.
• Experience within Structural Design.
• Experience in the Solar/Renewables sector is desirable.
• Degree educated in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline.

Responsibilities

• Develop robust structural designs from concept through to manufacture.
• Lead on R&D projects.
• Create BOMs and modify existing products to maintain efficiency.
• Perform FEA stress testing to validate designs.
• Collaborate with sales to prepare timely quotations for customers.

Are you a Structural Design Engineer looking to make a real impact in the rapidly growing renewable energy sector? This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking engineering team, where you'll be responsible for developing robust structural designs, contributing to new product development, and supporting projects from concept through to manufacture. Working in a collaborative environment, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality engineering solutions that help drive the renewable energy industry forward.

The Role:

• Working in the design team on a range of Design projects, the company designs systems for the renewables sector.
• Taking a lead on R&D projects.
• Designing both parts and full systems.
• FEA - stress testing.
• Creating BOMs.
• Working closely with the sales team, enabling quotations to be available in a timely manner and presented to customers.
• Modifying existing products across the range, to ensure efficiency is maintained and they stay ahead of the competition.

What we are looking for:

• Experience with Solidworks or Inventor - as well as AutoCAD 2d.
• Experience within Structural Design.
• Experience in the Solar/Renewables sector - desirable.
• Degree educated in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline.
