Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Principal Structural Engineer in Salford Quays, offering a hybrid working pattern. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams on high-value projects in defence, nuclear, public sector and energy, driving technical excellence, safety and delivery within schedule and budget.

The role requires chartered status, strong leadership, and extensive experience in complex structural engineering, with SC clearance or eligibility.

Qualifications

• Chartered Civil/Structural Engineer with post-chartership experience.
• Membership such as CEng MICE or MIStructE.
• Extensive experience delivering complex structural projects.
• Strong knowledge of design principles, codes and standards.
• Proven leadership and mentoring of engineering teams.
• Significant foundation design experience.
• Understanding of CDM regulations and safety governance.
• SC clearance or eligibility to obtain clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering teams across multiple workstreams.
• Oversee complex building and foundation designs to quality, time and budget.
• Provide technical direction throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with standards, governance and assurance processes.
• Manage interfaces with other engineering disciplines and clients.
