Job summary

The American Society of Civil Engineers in Harrogate is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to join a growing consultancy. You will work on a varied portfolio of residential, commercial and industrial projects, applying structural analysis, design and calculations across steel, concrete, timber and masonry.

Qualifications

• BSc in Civil Engineering or MSc in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and UK design standards.
• Knowledge of relevant UK design codes and industry standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out structural analysis, design and calculations for steel, concrete, timber and masonry.
• Produce structural calculations, drawings, specifications and reports.
• Support site inspections, surveys and structural assessments.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers and technicians to deliver projects to a high standard.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and external stakeholders.
• Assist with project planning and delivery from design through completion.
• Contribute to efficient design solutions and technical approaches.
• Maintain high standards of accuracy and quality across all project work.
