Job summary

Impression is recruiting for a Graduate Civil/Structural Engineer in Harrogate, Yorkshire. You will join a well established consultancy and work with experienced engineers across residential, commercial, civil and industrial projects.

Hybrid working is available after probation, with structured training, CPD and opportunities to progress, while a salary of £28,000 - £35,000 per annum is offered based on experience.

Qualifications

• BSc Civil Engineering or MSc in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Solid understanding of structural engineering principles.
• Knowledge of UK design codes and industry standards.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Good attention to detail and a desire to produce high quality work.
• Positive, proactive attitude and genuine ambition to develop.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Get hands on with structural analysis, design and engineering calculations across steel, concrete, timber and masonry.
• Produce calculations, drawings, specifications and technical reports.
• Gain valuable site experience through inspections, surveys and structural assessments.
• Work closely with experienced engineers and technicians, learning from their expertise.
• Contribute to projects from initial design through to completion.
• Develop practical and efficient engineering solutions.
• Build your confidence working with clients, contractors and other project stakeholders.
• Take on increasing responsibility as your knowledge and experience grows.
