Job summary

King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Physiotherapist – Stroke for Princess Royal University Hospital, Kent, on a fixed-term maternity cover of 9 months.

The role focuses on assessment and treatment of stroke patients on the Hyper Acute Stroke Unit and Stroke Unit, with MDT collaboration and involvement in weekend service.

The successful candidate will support junior staff, participate in MDT projects, case conferences, and maintain comprehensive records.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with stroke patients in acute and rehabilitation settings.
• Ability to supervise junior staff and students.
• Excellent communication and MDT collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Hold caseload, undertake full assessment and independently plan individualized treatment programmes for patients.
• Ensure standard of physiotherapy carried out by senior physiotherapy assistants.
• Supervise and teach junior staff and students in assessment and management of patients.
