Job summary

King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Physiotherapist specialised in stroke to cover maternity leave at Princess Royal University Hospital in Kent. You will work in a dedicated Stroke Unit and Hyperacute Stroke Unit, contributing to assessment, rehabilitation and discharge planning as part of an MDT.

The role involves weekend roster participation, teaching and supervision of junior staff, and involvement in service development initiatives.

Qualifications

• Degree in physiotherapy and HCPC registration.
• Postgraduate stroke training or equivalent experience.
• Experience in neuro-rehabilitation and stroke care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hold a caseload and plan individualized treatment programmes for stroke patients.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff and assistants.
• Contribute to weekend service rota and service development projects.
• Maintain comprehensive patient records and MDT communication.
