Job summary

King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in Farnborough is seeking a Band 6 Physiotherapist to provide stroke rehabilitation on the Hyper Acute Stroke Unit and Stroke Unit. This is a 9-month fixed-term contract with a 7 day working rota and part-time hours (22.5 per week).

You will manage a caseload, undertake full assessment, and plan individualized treatment. You will supervise junior staff, participate in weekend rotas, MDT projects, and discharge planning, contributing to MDT meetings

Qualifications

• Must hold a degree or recognised qualification in physiotherapy.
• HCPC registered and committed to professional development.
• Experience in stroke, neurology or rehabilitation is preferred.
• Postgraduate CPD portfolio demonstrating ongoing development.
• Member of professional groups (MCSP) and Clinical Interest group.

Responsibilities

• Hold a caseload on stroke unit and independently plan treatment.
• Supervise junior physiotherapy staff and students.
• Contribute to MDT projects and weekend service participation.
• Attend ward rounds, case conferences and maintain records.
• Provide teaching and supervision to team members as required.
