Job summary

Wye Valley NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Physiotherapist to join the Stroke Unit on a nine-month, fixed-term, full-time contract. The role involves work across acute and rehabilitation pathways, with a focus on stroke care and respiratory management.

You will lead and develop a small multidisciplinary team, support staff development, and participate in a seven-day rota, including on-call duties where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Experience in stroke care.
• Confidence in managing patients with respiratory needs.
• Ability to support and develop qualified and non-registered staff.
• Willing to participate in 7-day working and on-call rota.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership to a small team.
• Support cross-cover for surgical wards and ITU as required.
• Contribute to service improvement initiatives and development of colleagues.
• Work across acute and rehabilitation pathways, with a focus on stroke care.
