Job summary

RMS Recruitment seeks an experienced Strip Fitter / MET Technician for an automotive client in Killingholme. This 3 months fixed term contract involves prepping vehicles for paint, de-trim and re-trim work, and ensuring vehicles are in prime condition before dispatch. Salary is £19.87 per hour, paid weekly.

Role operates Monday to Friday, 6am–10pm shifts under the Workshop Shift Manager, with emphasis on safety and quality workmanship in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be over 22 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with fewer than 6 penalty points.
• No DR10 offenses for insurance purposes.
• Previous panel trimming experience.

Responsibilities

• Remove panels before the vehicle enters the paint booth.
• Refit panels after painting.
• Ensure electrics function after re-trimming.
• Inspect vehicles to ensure bodywork matches.
• Follow manufacturer guidelines for material usage.
• Maintain a clean, organized workshop.
• Keep tools in good working condition.
• Follow health and safety regulations.

Due to rapid growth we are looking for skilled staff members to join our team and play a vital role in delivering exceptional service prepping our vehicles for paint, ensuring our clients receive nothing but the highest standard of service.

Location: Killingholme

Position: Strip Fitter / MET Technician

Contract: 3 Months Fixed Term Contract
