Command Recruitment is recruiting for a Strip Fitter / MET Technician (Bodyshop) in Peterborough on a full-time permanent basis. Expect a 40-hour week with no weekend work, earning £15.41-£18.12 per hour plus a 10% annual bonus potential and overtime opportunities.

Previous experience as Strip Fitter/MET Technician/Vehicle Trimmer or Bodyshop Technician
Experience in accident repair centre/bodyshop/vehicle preparation centre
Skilled or semi-skilled technicians encouraged to apply
Excellent attention to detail with pride in high-quality work
Positive attitude and ability to work independently and in a team

Responsibilities

Stripping and refitting vehicle components safely and efficiently
Removing and refitting trims, bumpers, lights, panels and mechanical components
Preparing vehicles for the paint process
Identifying damaged components requiring repair or replacement

The Role

As a Strip Fitter / MET Technician, you'll play a key role in the repair process, ensuring vehicles are stripped, repaired and rebuilt to the highest standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

Stripping and refitting vehicle components safely and efficiently
Removing and refitting trims, bumpers, lights, panels and mechanical components
Preparing vehicles for the paint process
Identifying damaged components requiring repair or replacement
Working closely with Paint, Panel and Quality Control teams
Maintaining exceptional standards while working efficiently to agreed timescales

About You

We're looking for candidates who have:

Previous experience as a Strip Fitter, MET Technician, Vehicle Trimmer or Bodyshop Technician
Experience within an accident repair centre, bodyshop or vehicle preparation centre
Skilled or semi-skilled technicians are encouraged to apply
Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work
A positive attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
