Job summary

Clear Automotive in London NW10 is seeking an experienced Strip Fitter / Light MET Technician to join a busy accident repair centre. You will perform mechanical, electrical and trim work to high standards, ensuring repairs meet manufacturer specifications and quality expectations.

Ideal candidates have MET/strip & fitter or bodyshop experience, with the ability to work independently or within a team. ATA/NVQ/IMI qualifications are advantageous but not essential.

Qualifications

• Previous MET technician experience or Strip & Fitter work in a bodyshop
• Experience in mechanical, electrical and trim components
• Adequate fault finding and diagnostic abilities

Responsibilities

• Remove and refit mechanical and electrical components
• Strip and rebuild accident-damaged vehicles
• Carry out fault finding and diagnostic work
• Identify and order replacement parts
• Ensure repairs meet manufacturer standards
• Reassemble vehicles to pre-accident condition
• Conduct quality checks throughout repair process
• Maintain high workmanship standards

MET Technician - The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an experienced MET Technician to join a busy, reputable Accident Repair Centre.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a business that prioritises quality repairs over volume, giving technicians the time, support and resources needed to deliver work to the highest standards.

The successful candidate will have previous experience within an accident repair environment and be confident carrying out all aspects of mechanical, electrical, trim, strip and fit work.

ATA, NVQ Level 3 or IMI Level 3 qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential for experienced candidates.

Key Responsibilities

• Remove and refit mechanical, electrical and trim components
