Job summary

Gi Group Humber are recruiting an experienced Vehicle Strip/Fitter for our automotive client in Grimsby (DN31). This temp-to-perm role after 12 weeks offers 4 on 4 off shifts from 06:00 to 18:00 with a competitive hourly rate of £16.75 and ongoing work.

You will strip and refit vehicles, remove and replace panels, bumpers, lights and interior trim, and handle minor mechanical tasks while maintaining quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence held for at least 2 years.
• Aged 22+.
• No points/endorsements (up to 3 points may be accepted depending on code).
• Proven experience as a Vehicle Strip/Fitter (or similar bodyshop role).
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
• Reliable and able to work the 4 on 4 off shift rotation.
• Own basic tools for the role are required.

Responsibilities

• Stripping and refitting vehicles, including removing/replacing panels, bumpers, lights, door handles and interior trim.
• Handling minor mechanical, electrical and trim components during strip/refit.
• Ensuring excellent component care by labelling, organising and storing parts correctly for efficient reassembly.
• Working to set processes and quality standards, ensuring health & safety is followed at all times.
• Own tools for the role are required (screwdriver, hammer, electric screwdriver etc).

Requirements
