Job summary

Alpine Formula One Team is seeking a Stress Student Placement to aid structural analysis and validation of race components. You will work with Mechanical, Aerodynamics and Vehicle Performance divisions to optimise strength, stiffness and weight while supporting design reviews.

In Enstone, the 12-month placement offers hands-on experience with cutting-edge simulations, CAD documentation, and collaboration with a driven motorsport team ready to develop future race components.

Qualifications

• Currently studying a degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, or Motorsport Engineering and seeking an industry placement in your penultimate year of university.
• Strong understanding of structural mechanics and materials.
• Experience with FEA software.
• Familiarity with CAD tools and engineering documentation.
• Passion for motorsport and a proactive, analytical mindset.
• You must have the right to work in the UK, as we cannot provide sponsorship for this role.
• Be available to attend onsite for an assessment centre in September

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing structural analysis using FEA tools
• Support the validation of components through simulation and physical testing
• Help prepare technical reports and documentation for design reviews
• Contribute to optimisation studies for weight and performance
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure robust and efficient component delivery
