Alpine Racing Limited, based in Enstone, invites a Stress Student Placement to join our Structures and Materials team. You will perform structural analyses, validate designs through simulations and testing, and contribute to optimisation studies for weight and performance.

We are a high-performance Formula One Team driven by innovation, precision, and passion. Our Structures and Materials groupis responsible forthe analysis and validation of components to ensure they meet the demanding performance, safety, and reliability standards of Formula One. As aStress Student Placement,you’llbe part of a team that uses advanced simulation and testing techniques to support the design and development of race-critical components.
As a Stress Student Placement,you’llsupport the Team in performing structural analysis,validatingdesigns, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.You’llwork closely with design groups including Mechanical and Composites Depts together with Aerodynamics and Vehicle Performance Depts to ensure components are optimised for strength, stiffness, and weight.
Assistin performing structural analysis using FEA tools
Support the validation of components through simulation and physical testing
Help prepare technical reports and documentation for design reviews
Contribute to optimisation studies for weight and performance
Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure robust and efficientcomponentdelivery
Currently studying a degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, or Motorsport Engineering and seeking an industry placement in your penultimate year of university
Strong understanding of structural mechanics and materials
Experience with FEA software
Familiarity with CAD tools and engineering documentation
Passion for motorsport and a proactive, analytical mindset
You must have the right to work in the UK, as we cannot provide sponsorship for this role
Be available to attend onsite for an assessment centre in September
