Job summary

Brentwood Borough Council is recruiting for a Salthill Depot Street Cleansing operative in Clitheroe. You will join a small team responsible for keeping roads, footpaths, verges and open spaces clean, including litter picking and bin emptying.

A full UK driving licence (B and B1) is essential and knowledge of the local area is desirable. There are up to 37 hours per week with no guaranteed hours, and a 12.07% allowance in lieu of holiday entitlement.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence essential (categories B and B1).
• Health and safety policy knowledge and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Picking up litter, sweeping streets and emptying litter bins.
• Utilising equipment in line with Street Cleansing requirements.
• Ensure all activities comply with Health and Safety policy.
• Keep roads, footpaths, verges and open spaces clean.
