Job summary

Ribble Valley Borough Council seeks a Casual Amenity Cleansing Operative at Salthill Depot, Clitheroe, to help keep roads, footpaths, verges and open spaces clean.

You will join a small team, pick up litter, sweep streets and empty bins, and operate equipment in line with Street Cleansing standards and Health & Safety policies. A full UK driving licence (B and B1) is essential; no guaranteed hours but up to 37 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is essential and must include categories B and B1.
• Knowledge of the Clitheroe area is desirable.
• No guaranteed hours but up to 37 hours per week to cover absences and annual leave.

Responsibilities

• Picking up litter, sweeping streets and emptying litter bins.
• Utilise equipment consistent with Street Cleansing requirements.
• Ensure compliance with the Council’s Health and Safety policy.
