Job summary

Ribble Valley Borough Council is recruiting for a Casual Amenity Cleansing Operative based at Salthill Depot in Clitheroe. You will join a small team responsible for keeping roads, footpaths, verges and open spaces clean and litter-free, with no guaranteed hours but up to 37 hours per week.

The role requires a full UK driving licence (B and B1) and knowledge of the local area is desirable. The appointment includes a £14.14 per hour rate plus a 12.07% allowance in lieu of holiday entitlement,

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is essential, including categories B and B1.
• No guaranteed hours but up to 37 hours per week.
• Based in the Amenity Cleansing Section at Salthill Depot, Clitheroe.

Responsibilities

• Pick up litter, sweep streets and empty litter bins according to Street Cleansing requirements.
• Utilise equipment in line with Health and Safety policy.
• Ensure all activities comply with the Council’s policies.
