Job summary

Ribble Valley Borough Council is recruiting for a Casual Amenity Cleansing Operative based at Salthill Depot in Clitheroe. You will join a small team responsible for keeping roads, footpaths, verges and open spaces clean and litter-free, with no guaranteed hours but up to 37 hours per week.

The role requires a full UK driving licence (B and B1) and knowledge of the local area is desirable. The appointment includes a £14.14 per hour rate plus a 12.07% allowance in lieu of holiday entitlement,

Responsibilities

• Pick up litter, sweep streets and empty litter bins according to Street Cleansing requirements.

Hours: No guaranteed hours but up to 37 hours per week to help cover absences and annual leave

Based in the Amenity Cleansing Section at the Council’s Salthill Depot in Clitheroe, you will be part of a small team, responsible for ensuring that roads, footpaths, verges and open spaces are kept clean.

Picking up litter, sweeping streets and emptying litter bins, you will utilise equipment consistent with Street Cleansing requirements and ensure that all activities comply with the Council’s Health and Safety policy.

A full UK driving licence is essential and must include categories B, and B1.

Knowledge of the area is desirable.

No guaranteed hours but up to 37 hours per week to help cover absences and annual leave.
