Job summary

WSP Global Inc. seeks a Senior Development Planner in Leeds to support the regional Development Team, specialising in Transport/Civil Engineering for Development Planning.

You will deliver concept studies, Transport Statements and Assessments, and work across multidisciplinary teams to deliver planning solutions from site selection to approvals and implementation. You will lead client relationships, manage projects to budget and programme, and mentor staff while collaborating with planning,

Qualifications

• A numerate first degree in Transport, Mathematics, Geography, Civil Engineering, Planning or a related subject.
• Experience as lead client contact for consultancy services and fostering excellent client relationships.
• Strong written and oral communication for development proposals.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support in delivery of concept studies/strategies, Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, Parking Studies, Access Studies, Movement and Access Studies.
• Lead to planning applications, post-permission and discharge of planning condition works.
• Provide proactive management to ensure collaborative relationships with clients and staff.
• Maintain relationships with key clients based on service excellence and technical competence.
• Keep up-to-date with standards and policies; network and attend conferences.
• Mentor developing technical staff and provide guidance as appropriate.
• Engage in high-profile client engagement, stakeholder management and project management.
• Ensure projects are delivered to budget, programme, technical standards and legal requirements.
