Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking Transport Planners/Development Planners to join our development team across the UK. You will lead technical transport planning work on development projects, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver transport strategies and masterplan inputs.

You will support both private- and public-sector clients, contributing to the planning process and scheme development, while growing your commercial skills and professional network.

Qualifications

• Experience leading technical work on transport assessments, travel plans, and parking strategies.
• Expertise in preparing traffic-flow information for transport assessments/environmental statements.
• Experience with junction modelling software (Junctions 10, Linsig).
• Experience in project management on small to mid-size projects.
• Ability to supervise conceptual junction design (priority, roundabout, signals).
• Excellent communication and client-facing leadership abilities.
• Mentoring early-career professionals in technical areas.
• Proficient with Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical input for transport planning on development projects.
