Job summary

WSP in the United Kingdom is seeking a Technical Director to lead structural engineering on nationally significant energy infrastructure projects. You will guide multi-disciplinary design teams and manage client relationships to deliver technically excellent outcomes.

As a Chartered Engineer with proven leadership, you will mentor junior engineers, drive innovation, and contribute to business development while enjoying a flexible, hybrid working environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading structural engineering design and project leadership.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) with a relevant professional body.
• Experience on energy infrastructure projects (substations, transmission & distribution, OHL, power stations) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the structural design and delivery of complex energy infrastructure projects.
• Provide strategic input into planning, resourcing, and risk management.
• Deliver structural solutions for substations, transmission and distribution facilities, OHL structures, and power stations.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted advisor.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and technicians.
