Job summary

WSP is seeking a Technical Director to lead structural engineering for major energy infrastructure projects in the UK. You will head project teams, manage client relationships, and drive technical excellence and innovation across a diverse portfolio.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer (CEng) with a relevant professional body.
• Significant experience in structural engineering design and project leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the structural design and delivery of complex energy infrastructure projects.
• Provide strategic input into project planning, resourcing, and risk management.
• Deliver structural solutions for substations, transmission and distribution facilities, and power stations.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and technicians, fostering technical excellence.
• Contribute to business development, including bids, proposals, and client presentations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated and sustainable design solutions.
• Support the development of best practices, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
