Job summary

AWE plc is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Development Manager in Reading to lead the newly formed Supply Chain Development team. The role focuses on establishing governance, SRM frameworks and enterprise-wide supply chain capabilities in support of a major replacement warhead procurement programme.

You will drive supplier engagement, sustainability and social value, while building strong internal and external relationships and leading a high performing team.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience developing strategy in supply chain development.
• Proven SRM and supplier governance experience.
• Experience shaping SME strategies within procurement.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience embedding ESG and social value in procurement.
• Strong ability to design enterprise-wide governance.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a robust SRM framework aligned to strategic objectives.
• Develop supplier governance methodologies and segmentation.
• Create and maintain supply chain policies and templates.
• Lead supplier engagement programmes and forums.
• Embed ESG, social value and SME participation.
• Collaborate across Commercial, Programme and Supply Chain teams.
• Develop a high performing Supply Chain Development Team.
