Academics Ltd are recruiting a SENDCO for a January 2027 start at a lovely secondary school in Buckinghamshire. The role leads the strategic development of SEND provision, coordinating with external agencies and specialist staff to raise student achievement.

The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of SEND support, including alternative provision, EAL, exams access, and CPD for around 30 staff. Salary will be determined by qualifications and experience.

Qualifikationen

• Strong leadership and team-building qualities.
• Outstanding classroom practitioner with a passion for teaching and learning.
• Monitor progress of SEND students and provide interventions to help them achieve targets.
• Quality assure the work of the SEND team and SEND students’ work.
• Commitment to raising achievement of vulnerable students or those with SEND.
• Clear understanding of student support for a range of SEND and current legislation.

Aufgaben

• Oversee all aspects of support for students with SEND, coordinating with external agencies and specialists.
• Lead on CPD for the SEND department (approx. 30 staff).
• Oversee alternative provision, EAL delivery, and exams access.
• Drive strategic development of the Academy's SEND provision.
• Collaborate with educational psychologists, SALT, and other services to raise achievement.
