Job summary

Wellspring Academy Trust in Lincolnshire is seeking a Strategic SENDCO to join in a maternity cover via a job-share model. The role focuses on drafting, managing, and reviewing EHCPs and ensuring all statutory requirements are met.

You will share responsibilities with an In-School Co-SENDCO who handles day-to-day tasks, parent contact, and agency liaison. Ideal candidates will have NASENCO qualification or significant SENDCO leadership experience, with strong written communication and meticulous

Qualifications

Oversee, write, submit and review EHCPs and ensure Code of Practice timelines.
Ensure compliance with SEND statutory requirements and funding documentation.
Knowledge of EHCP process and statutory SEND frameworks.
Exceptional written communication and attention to detail.
Collaborate closely with a Co-SENDCO to balance strategic and operational duties.
DBS checks and safeguarding compliance as part of pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities

Oversee the writing, submission, and annual review of EHCPs.
Ensure full compliance with SEND Code of Practice and statutory timelines.
Monitor SEN funding allocations and statutory documentation.
Partner with the Co-SENDCO to coordinate strategic and operational SEND provision.
Share responsibilities with an internal teacher for daily tasks and agency liaison.
Maintain safeguarding compliance and DBS checks as required.
