Job summary

British Airways is seeking a Resource Planning Manager to design long- and short-term workforce plans, rosters and training schedules that underpin our operations. You’ll lead planning work, using data and insights to forecast demand and align with budgets.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, drive continuous improvement, and leverage digital tools to enhance planning accuracy while supporting safe, reliable travel operations.

Qualifications

• Able to hold an airside pass – Essential
• Proven resource planning experience with strong analytical skills.
• Experience leading people and driving high team performance.
• Confident working with planning systems, supporting testing and compliance with system standards – Desirable
• Experience in training planning, reporting, budgeting or resource modelling, with strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
• Able to work flexibly in a fast-changing environment and build effective relationships with operational teams and third-party suppliers – Essential

Responsibilities

• Develop, own and refine long- and short-term resource, recruitment and training plans to ensure resilient delivery.
• Create robust, insight-led resource plans using data, forecasting tools and technologies.
• Identify risks, trends and opportunities through data analysis and implement mitigations.
• Leverage digital tools, automation and AI-led insights to improve planning accuracy.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Operations Planning and aligned business areas for alignment with budgets.
• Contribute to the Operations Planning strategy with innovative ideas to improve processes.
• Ensure resource plans align with financial plans, budgets and forecasts.
